The show premiered in San Diego in 2015
Immersive and site-specific show The Grift will get its UK premiere at the Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green in January.
Created, written and directed by Tom Salamon (who also delivered the immersive Accomplice at the Menier Chocolate Factory in 2010), the piece places 50 audience members in the middle of an adventure, where they have to con others, solve clues and try and take down a scheming criminal mastermind.
The show is produced by Danielle Tarento (Titanic, Ragtime) who recently announced as a panellist for an upcoming Tonic Celebrates event alongside Rosalie Craig. The Grift had its world premiere in 2015, performing in San Diego at the Lafayette Hotel.
Salamon said: "I’m thrilled to be returning to the 'seen-it-all' sophisticated audiences of London, they’re up for anything and love to get involved and play along and I think we’re giving them something entirely unique that they haven’t experienced before."
Last year, Salamon presented Goosebumps Alive at the Vaults, interpreting the classic stories for an immersive stage experience.
The Grift runs at Bethnal Green Town Hall Hotel from 25 January to 25 March with previews from 23 January.
