Images have been released of the cast of The Flick rehearsing ahead of opening night at the Dorfman Theatre later month.

Annie Baker's play arrives at the National direct from New York, where it won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama as well as the Susan Smith Blackburn Award and the Obie Award for Playwriting.

Set in a run-down movie theatre in central Massachusetts, the play follows three underpaid employees as they mop the floors and attend to one of the last 35-millimetre film projectors in the state.

The production is directed by Sam Gold.

The Flick opens at the Dorfman Theatre on 19 April.
