We met with Carrie Hope Fletcher, currently starring as Truly Scrumptious in the UK tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, to record a special performance of "Lovely Lonely Man", accompanied by Andrew Hilton and Chris Mundy.

The UK and Ireland tour of the Sherman Brothers' musical opened in Southampton earlier this year and is currently playing the New Wimbledon Theatre until 30 July.

Fletcher starred in the original cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as Jemima Potts in 2002 and her popular YouTube channel, It's Way Past My Bedtime, is named after a line in the show – "It's 20:32, it's way past your bedtime!"

She stars alongside Shaun Williamson as Lord Scrumptious/Baron Bomburst, Lee Mead as Caractacus Potts and Michelle Collins as Baroness Bomburst.

Directed by James Brining, with new choreography by Stephen Mear, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has music and lyrics by the Academy Award-winning Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book).
