The Nuffield Southampton Theatres’ production opens next week before embarking on a UK tour

Arthur Darvill talks exclusively to WhatsOnStage about the upcoming stage adaptation of Fantastic Mr Fox.

Directed by Maria Aberg, Roald Dahl's novel has been adapted for the stage by Sam Holcroft, with music by Darvill and lyrics by Darvill, Holcroft, Al Muriel and Darren Clark.

It is designed by Tom Scutt with sound by Claire Windsor and lighting by Lee Curran.

Greg Barnett plays the titular character who hatches a plan to outsmart his farmer neighbours in order to feed his friends and family.

Fantastic Mr Fox opens at the Nuffield Southampton Theatres on 30 November before touring to London, Cardiff, Dartford, Milton Keynes, Leicester, Oxford, Coventry, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bath, High Wycombe, Plymouth, Norwich, Bradford and Salford Quays.
