The cast of Love in Idleness celebrated the show's West End transfer to the Apollo Theatre last night.

Caroline Quentin, Ray Cooney, Anthony Andrews and Dan Gillespie Sells joined Eve Best, Anthony Head and the rest of the cast after the show's opening night.

Trevor Nunn originally directed Terence Rattigan's play at the Menier Chocolate Factory in March where it garnered excellent reviews, including a five star write up from Sarah Crompton.

The comedy follows what happens when a young man returns home after a four year absence to find his mother is the mistress of a cabinet minister.

The piece is one of two plays Nunn has directed recently at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Lettice and Lovage opened at the theatre this week.

Love in Idleness runs at the Apollo Theatre until 1 July.
