Derry Girls star and more set for medical drama Heartsink’s world premiere

Full casting has been announced for Heartsink, which runs at Riverside Studios from Tuesday 21 April to Sunday 10 May, with a press night scheduled for Friday 24 April.

The production stars Kathy Kiera Clarke, who won acclaim in hit series Derry Girls, alongside Aden Gillet, Vikash Bhai and Megan Marszal. Gillet plays Dr Jeffrey Longford, with Bhai appearing as Dr Roofi and Marszal as Suzie.

Written by former GP Farine Clarke and directed by Sean Turner, the play follows a doctor who becomes seriously ill and must confront the healthcare system from the perspective of a patient. 

The creative team includes designer Matteo Mastrandrea, lighting designer Chuma Emembolu, sound designer Hattie North and casting director Ellie Collyer-Bristow.

Performances take place in Studio 3 at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith.
