Yesterday, WhatsOnStage was invited to attend the Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards 2026!
Voted on by UK-based theatre critics who are members of the Circle, the event was once again held at the National Theatre in London and recognised theatrical works staged across 2025. It also marked the first time in the awards’ 37-year history that the shortlist has been published, with the winners then selected from this list.
Alongside the Empty Space…Peter Brook Award (in Memory of Blanche Marvin), the winners of twelve competitive categories were revealed, and you can find out who triumphed here.
