Crazy Coqs, a cabaret venue near central London, will host a variety of special evenings grounded in the world of theatre.

Gareth Valentine will return with hit solo show Tales of a Musical Director, set to feature Janie Dee, Haydn Gwynne and Joanna Riding, taking place as a residency at the venue from 10 to 12 April.

He said today: “I am delighted to be returning for a three night residency after my two sold out performances at Crazy Coqs in 2022 and to have these three world class and awarded talents joining me on alternative evenings is an absolute privilege. It’s fun, full of surprises and everything you can imagine that makes for an entertaining evening, come join us.”

Musical theatre stars Alex Young (who recently completed a run in the Olivier Award-winning Standing at the Sky’s Edge) and Ellie Nunn (Identical) will join forces for Sad Funny Women, a one-night-only gig taking place on 16 April.

Award-winning actress Lesley Manville will be the first star of stage and screen to be interviewed by Avril Freck (AKA Fiona Lindsay) as part of a brand new series of evenings of conversation commencing on 11 May. Other guests will include Sophie Thompson, Alison Steadman and Noma Dumezweni.
