Daniel Ryan, Samantha Spiro and Genevieve Hulme-Beaman will appear at the theatre over the summer
Casting has been announced for two productions at Chichester this summer, The Country Girls and The House They Grew Up In.
Edna O'Brien's The Country Girls is set in rural Ireland in the '50s, and follows best friends Kate and Baba as they escape their repressive lives. Genevieve Hulme-Beaman (The Seagull) will play Baba and Grace Molony will make her professional debut as Kate .
The full cast includes Romayne Andrews, Rachel Atkins, Tom Canton, Chris Garner, Colm Gormley, Melanie McHugh, Keshini Misha, Bailey Patrick, Valery Schatz (Mr Gentleman) and Jade Yourell.
The play is based on O’Brien’s novel which was controversially banned from Ireland in the '60s.
Daniel Ryan and Samantha Spiro will lead the cat of new play The House They Grew Up In. Deborah Bruce's play is about reclusive siblings siblings Peppy and Daniel who hoard in their south east London home. It is a co-production with Headlong and run from 14 July. Headlong's artistic director Jeremy Herrin directs.
The Country Girls runs at Chichester Festival Theatre from 9 June to 8 July. The House They Grew Up In runs at the theatre from 14 July to 5 August.
