Falling in Love With Mr Dellamort will receive its European premiere at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe – and casting has been revealed.

Billed as the only musical at the festival to feature “a Theremin, Foley-style sound effects and a goth-pop score”, the show follows three guests who arrive at the secluded Maison Dellamort on New Year’s Eve. As the weekend unfolds, their host’s true motives become clear, and the visitors are drawn into a mysterious, darkly comic tale. Cultural touchpoints are said to include Little Shop of Horrors and The Rocky Horror Show.

Set to appear will be Robert Tripolino (Jesus Christ Superstar), Grace Farrell (The Crucible), Chris O’Mara (Cabaret), Natalie Arle-Toyne (Dracula: Mina’s Reckoning), and Jennie Jacobs (Stiletto), alongside New York-based Theremin artist Cornelius Loy. The production runs at C ARTS | C aquila (temple) from 30 July to 24 August, with performances off on 11 and 12 August.

The creative team includes Jack Feldstein (book and co-lyrics), Paul Doust (music and co-lyrics), director Abigail Zealey Bess, musical director Ben Papworth, sound designer Sarah Weltman, and casting director Michael Howell. General management is by Clayton Howe and Mitchell Reeve for Across the Pond Theatrical Management.

The show was initially developed in New York with a live performance at The Slipper Room, and later reimagined as a streamed podcast musical during the pandemic, with recordings made remotely by a cast of Broadway and West End performers.
