You'd think that being an award-winning West End actress, a YouTube star with over 600,000 subscribers and a first solo album on the way, would be enough work and responsibility for anyone to handle. But not for Carrie Hope Fletcher who is also a bestselling novelist to boot.

And now she's dreaming of combining her career paths and setting her sights on seeing her novels adapted for the stage.

Talking at the 18th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards, Fletcher said that seeing her novels on stage 'is the dream'.

"Everytime I write a novel I always imagine it as a film or a stage production, or just something visual to go along with it," Fletcher said, adding: "but it's all inside my head, locked in there somewhere, but to actually see that happen… I think I'd cry for a thousand years."

The actress, who was crowned Best Actress in a Musical at this year's WhatsOnStage Awards for her performance in The Addams Family, has other theatre credits including Les Misérables, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The War of the Worlds.

She has published three books; the Sunday Times bestseller All I Know Now: Wonderings and Reflections on Growing Up Gracefully, and the non-fiction novels On The Other Side and All That She Can See. Her third novel When the Curtain Falls is due to be published in July.

Carrie Hope Fletcher Live in Concert takes place at Cadogan Hall on Sunday 1 April. Buy tickets here.
