Asmeret Ghebremichael joins cast of Dreamgirls as Lorrell Robinson

Broadway star Asmeret Ghebremichael has joined the West End cast of Dreamgirls in the role of Lorrell Robinson.

Her Broadway credits include Legally Blonde, Elf The Musical, Spamalot and Wicked. She also starred in The Book of Mormon in the West End and on Broadway, and appeared in the US television production The Wiz Live!

She replaces Ibinabo Jack who has had to withdraw from the production due to health reasons.

Dreamgirls stars Amber Riley as Effie White alongside Liisi LaFontaine as Deena. Casey Nicholaw's production charts the story of a female singing trio from Chicago called The Dreams in the '60s and '70s.
