The Almeida Theatre's production of King Charles III is set to transfer to the Wyndham's Theatre in September, according to the Daily Mail.

Mike Bartlett's play, which is billed as a 'future history play', imagines the succession of Prince Charles following the death of The Queen. It features among the cast Oliver Chris, Adam James, Tim Pigott-Smith and Lydia Wilson.

The deal for the transfer of Rupert Goold's production is 'close' according to Baz Bamigboye.

It would follow the production of David Hare's Skylight starring Carey Mulligan and Bill Nighy, which runs at the Wyndham's until 23 August 2014.

The transfer would mark the next in a successful run of transfers from the Almeida, including Chimerica and 1984, which is currently running at the Playhouse Theatre, as well as the rumoured transfer of American Psycho.
