Fancy spending an evening in 'Worst Toilet in Scotland'? That might not be the best way to sell this 75 minute production, but if you liked Irvine Welsh's novel and/or Danny Boyle's 1996 film, then you should 'choose' this immersive take on the tale of heroin addiction in Edinburgh.
4) This Might Hurt
8 – 12 November, Hull Truck Theatre
From cancelled appointments to frustrated consultants, John Godber's new comedy is described as an 'odyssey through the NHS', and is as topical as they come.
Not to be confused with Stella Feehily's 2014 agitprop, This May Hurt a Bit.
3) Drones, Baby, Drones
7 – 26 November, Arcola Theatre
Three writers team up on two interlinking plays; This Tuesday by Ron Hutchinson and Sunday Times Chief Foreign Correspondent Christina Lamb, sees three American officials with a vital decision to make. The Kid by David Greig tells of the aftermath when two drone operators attack a wedding 7000 miles away in Pakistan.
2) An Inspector Calls
10 November to 4 February 2017, Playhouse Theatre
25 years since it appeared at the National Theatre, Stephen Daldry’s award-winning production of JB Priestley’s classic thriller, about an inspector who arrives at a dinner party with questions about the death of a young women, returns to the West End. Liam Brennan (Diary of a Madman) will play Inspector Goole in the revival production.

8 November to 22 January 2017, King's Cross Theatre
David Bowie and Enda Walsh's wacky musical inspired by the book, The Man Who Fell To Earth, transfers to London following its premiere Off-Broadway last year. Ivo van Hove directs a casting include Dexter star Michael C Hall and Amy Lennox (Kinky Boots).
