New casting has been announced for Mischief Theatre's The Play That Goes Wrong in the West End.

Appearing in the production at the Duchess Theatre from Tuesday 26 February will be Kazeem Tosin Amore as Robert, Jake Curran as Chris, Catherine Dryden as Annie, Bobby Hirston as Max, Benjamin McMahon as Dennis, Gabriel Paul as Trevor, Steven Rostance as Jonathan and Elena Valentine as Sandra.

The understudies will be David Kristopher Brown, Liam Horrigan, Matthew Howell, Louisa Sexton and Laura White.

The Play That Goes Wrong won the 2014 WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Comedy as well as an Olivier Award and a Tony Award. It has now been seen by over 2 million people.

Co-written by Mischief Theatre members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields – also the team behind Groan Ups and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery – the play follows the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society as they attempt to mount a murder mystery play. It has direction by Mark Bell, with set designs by Nigel Hook, lighting by Ric Mountjoy, sound design by Andy Johnson and costumes by Roberto Surace.

The piece is currently booking until 27 October 2019.

Mischief Theatre recently announced a new year-long residency at the Vaudeville Theatre, also in the West End.
