Richard Eyre's production of Mr Foote's Other Leg will transfer to the West End for a limited run this October.

Simon Russell Beale will reprise his role of Samuel Foote, the satirist, comedian and Georgian celebrity. Dervla Kirwan will also return as Peg Woffington and Ian Kelly, who is also the author of the play, will continue his turn as Prince George.

The play opened at Hampstead Theatre on September 27 and will transfer to the Theatre Royal Haymarket from October 28 for a limited run.

Mr Foote's Other Leg was adapted by Kelly from his own biography of the Georgian celebrity. Eyre's production garnered positive reviews, including four stars from WhatsOnStage's Michael Coveney, who said 'It's good to see Russell Beale snarling with vulgarity like a raddled old pole cat.'

Mr Foote's Other Leg opens at Theatre Royal Haymarket from October 28, with a press night on 4 November. For tickets, click here.
