Full cast announced for Grandage's Henry V starring Jude Law, who is at the 'peak of his powers'

Joining Jude Law in the title role of Michael Grandage’s ”Henry V”, the final production in his glittering West End season, includes Norman Bowman, Michael Hadley and Jessie Buckley

Full casting for Michael Grandage's Henry V starring Jude Law has been announced, including Norman Bowman, Michael Hadley, Jessie Buckley and Prasanna Puwanarajah.

The final production in Grandage's West End season that has included Peter and Alice and A Midsummer Night's Dream sees Jude Law at the "peak of his powers", Grandage told the Daily Mail.

Rehearsals for the production, which opens at the Noel Coward Theatre on 3 December (previews from 23 November), start next month. Shakespeare’s play of nationhood investigates the bloody horrors of war and the turbulence of a land in crisis.

Norman Bowman (Nym/Williams)'s theatre credits include Macbeth (MIF), Finding Neverland (Curve, Leicester), Mack and Mabel (Southwark Playhouse) and Twelfth Night (Donmar West End). His TV work includes Mr Eleven and Los Dos Bros.

Michael Hadley (Canterbury)'s stage credits include King Lear, Piaf, Othello (Donmar), The Tempest, Heroes (Watermill Theatre), Coriolanus and The Canterbury Tales (RSC). TV and film credits include Fair Cop, Mrs Biggs, The Invisible Woman and The Boat That Rocked.

Jessie Buckley (Princess Katharine) first came to public attention as runner-up on Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for a Nancy I'd Do Anything. Her stage credits include The Tempest (Globe) and A Little Night Music (Menier/West End).

Prasanna Puwanarajah, who plays Mountjoy, has theatre credits including Sixty Six Books (Bush), Emperor and Galilean, Hamlet, London Assurance (National) and Twelfth Night (RSC). For television, his work includes Silk and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

The full cast also includes Harry Attwell (Grey/Gower), Jason Baughan (Bardolph/Bates M. Le Fer), Richard Clifford (Ely/King Charles VI), Ron Cook (Pistol), Ian Drysdale (Cambridge/Constable), Noma Dumezweni (Mistress Quickly/Alice), Edward Harrison (Westmoreland), Christopher Heyward (Macmorris/Orleans), James Laurenson (Exeter), Ben Lloyd-Hughes (Dauphin/Scroop), Matt Ryan (Fluellen) and Ashley Zhangazha (Chorus/Boy).

Grandage also told the Daily Mail of Law that "The best time is right now. He’s got the charisma and acting power to do it". Henry V runs at the Noel Coward Theatre until 15 February 2014.
