Beer created with yeast from Roald Dahl's writing chair to feature on Dinner with the Twits menu

This sounds disgusting, just right for this event then

A bespoke beer called Mr Twit's Odious Ale, created using yeast swabbed from Roald Dahl's writing chair, will be on the menu for Les Enfants Terribles' theatrical dining experience, Dinner at the Twits.

The event, in association with Bompas & Parr, will also feature cocktails including The Twits Garden Spritz, consisting of wild nettle and thistle-infused Aperol, and the Terrible Shrinks garnished with a scented helium balloon.

Guests can expect to savour dishes including Glowing Hug Tight Glue, Treasures of the Compost Heap and Bird Pie – Your Night of a Thousand Claws.

Harry Parr, of Bompas & Parr, said: "By incorporating wild yeast cultured from inside Roald Dahl's writing chair in our beer to accompany Dinner at The Twits, it feels like we are injecting his own dark humour and effervescent sense of fun into the brew."

Oliver Lansley, of Les Enfants Terribles, said: "We are thrilled to finally be collaborating with real life Willy Wonkas Bompas & Parr, and we can't wait to invite you all to this deliciously disgusting dinner party."

Presented by Les Enfants Terribles and EBP, who were also the team behind Alice's Adventures Underground, Dinner at the Twits marks the first time one of Dahl's titles has been adapted specifically for adults.

Dinner at the Twits will run at The Vaults in Waterloo from 4 September to 30 October.
