Cheek By Jowl announce new production of Pericles

Cheek By Jowl have announced a new French language production of Pericles.
Pericles marks the company's first production of Shakespeare in French, following their French language production of Ubu Roi in 2013-2015. Pericles completes their cycle of late romances which includes Cymbeline, The Tempest and The Winter's Tale.
Cheek By Jowl's Russian language production of Measure for Measure will run at the Edinburgh International Festival in August and will be staged to commemorate the company's 35th anniversary.
Shakespeare's Pericles follows Pericles who is shipwrecked on the Mediterranean and loses his wife in a storm, while his newly born daughter is left with a governor and his wife.
Declan Donnellan directs the show, which will open in Paris before touring Europe in 2018.
