Tonight we’re thrilled to take our Whatsonstage.com theatregoers to Chariots of Fire at the Gielgud Theatre, which will be followed by a Q&A with with writer Mike Bartlett and members of the cast.
Adapted from the legendary 1981 film, Chariots of Fire charts the heroism of Olympians Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams as they prepare to race in the 1924 Paris Olympic games.
Featuring Vangelis‘ legendary score, the play stars Jack Lowden and James McArdle as Liddell and Abrahams.
The production made an Olympic effort last week to meet the torch as it processed through the West End, blasting the title track from the theatre under the watchful eyes of Vangelis and the show’s stars.
