Tina Turner musical Soul Sister announces 2013 tour dates

Tina Turner musical Soul Sister has announced further tour dates for 2013.

The Whatsonstage.com Award-nominated show was first seen at Hackney Empire in April 2012, subsequently transferring to the West End's Savoy Theatre for a limited run.

Starring Emi Wokoma as Tina Turner, the show features all the classic Tina Turner hits including “What’s Love Got to Do with It”, “Proud Mary”, “Private Dancer”, “River Deep Mountain High” and “Simply the Best”.

The story follows the highs, lows, passions and heartbreak of Ike and Tina as their careers soared whilst their marriage crumbled, ultimately leading to Tina being catapulted to superstardom.

The 2013 tour kicks off show in Glasgow from 14 to 19 January, subsequently visiting Aberdeen (21-26 January), Swindon (28 January to 2 February), Sheffield (25 February-2 March), Oxford (4-9 March), Hull (11-16 March), Cardiff (18-23 March), Tumbridge Wells (25-30 March), Cheltenham (2-6 April), Bournemouth (8-13 April), Derby (15-20 April), Belfast (29 April-4 May), Northampton (6-11 May), Ipswich (13-18 May), and Canterbury (10-15 June).

The Soul Sister tour is produced by Bill Kenwright and John Miller.
