X-Factor’s Mary Byrne to Star as Rydell’s Angel

After an amazingly successful four year West End run, the musical sensation that is Grease comes to Sussex as part of its national tour and, appearing alongside Grease is the Word winner Danny Bayne, will be X-Factor singing sensation, Mary Byrne who guest stars as Teen Angel.

 

Mary shot to fame in 2010 after becoming a finalist on the seventh series of the hit TV talent show. Her big personality and powerhouse voice won the hearts of millions and despite leaving the show in the semi-finals, she has gone on to sign a record deal with Sony Records and make her stage debut at Dublin’s Grand Canal.

 

Voted the Greatest Musical of All Time, Grease has proved that a musical love story, bursting with denim, cheerleaders, rock ‘n’ roll and an irresistible mix of teenage angst and young romance is timeless and universal.

It is the ultimate feel-good musical with the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including; You’re The One That I Want, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Greased Lightnin’ and many more, and is guaranteed to thrill audiences and leave everyone hand-jiving the night away at this electrifyin’ extravaganza packed with fun and vibrant energy.

 

Grease can be seen at the Congress Theatre, Eastbourne from 20 – 25 August with Monday – Friday evening performances at 7.30pm, Thursday Matinee at 2.30pm and Saturday performances 4pm and 8pm.
