Oldham Coliseum takes Cinderella to the ball, 24 NovDate: 15 November 2012 We may be half way through November, but the panto season is about to begin. Oldham Coliseum has a great reputation for these festive family productions, as they avoid the big name casts in favour of good old fashioned entertainment. This year, they are staging Cinderella.
The show took £20,000 on the first day of sales - which was in advance when their Dick Whittington was being performed.
Cinderella features the slosh scene; the transformation and the inevitable wedding and walk-down – plus all the favourite characters: Principal Boy; evil villain and, of course, the Dame and this year we’ll have the evil sisters double act.
Fans of last year's panto will recognise many of the stars, including Fine Time Fontayne, Richard J Fletcher, Liz Carney, Lisa Holliman and Justine Elizabeth Bailey will be returning. Kevin Shaw is on directing duties.
Cinderella runs at the Oldham Coliseum from 24 November - 12 January.
