Live Tweeting: National Theatre's annual season launch

Date: 30 January 2013

Artistic director Nicholas Hytner's annual press conference to unveil plans for the National Theatre's 2013 season takes place this morning (30 January 2013). And, as ever, Whatsonstage.com will be there to provide all the latest updates, live as they happen.

As reported back in October, the National has been riding high under the watch of Hytner and executive director Nick Starr. Attendances averaged 92% at the South Bank venue over the 12 months to October 2012, while the West End run of War Horse at the New London averaged 99%.

And there could be more big shows in the pipeline: among the anticipated projects being announced today is the long-awaited premiere of Tori Amos' musical The Light Princess (rumoured to be starring Rosalie Craig).

Follow our coverage of the launch, which kicks off at 11am, on Twitter (@Whatsonstage) or in the box below. Get involved using #NTbriefing.
