Date: 2 August 2012

Joey, the horse puppet star of War Horse and cast member Alex Avery made a visit to Park Live, the Olympic equestrian venue yesterday to cheer on crowds and performers.

The equine hero of the Whatsonstage.com award-winning (best West End Show, 2012) National Theatre production reared in salute to the crowd at Park Live, which included Team GB member Zara Phillips, who went on to win a silver medal.

As well as the West End production at the New London theatre, War Horse is currently running on Broadway and in Canada, with further productions planned for Germany and Australia in 2013.
