Tricycle hosts Ayckbourn's Watch, Harrower's Air & Shared's Shelley

The Tricycle Theatre has announced its spring/summer season, the last to be programmed by outgoing artistic director Nicolas Kent.

Among the highlights are the transfers of Alan Ayckbourn’s latest play, Neighbourhood Watch (10 April to 5 May 2012), complete with its original Scarborough cast, and David Harrower’s A Slow Air (8 May to 2 June), which premiered at last year's Edinburgh Fringe.

There will also be a double bill of productions from interfaith Muslim-Jewish theatre company Muju (2-5 April), and runs for Shared Experience’s Mary Shelley (12 June to 7 July) and comedian Mark Thomas’ Bravo Figaro! (1-22 September).

As previously announced, from 23 July to 25 August the Tricycle will become the Trinidad and Tobago Village, showcasing "all aspects of Trinidad and Tobago culture" during the Olympics. The programme, a mixture of free to the public and ticketed events, will constitute a presentation of “static and interactive exhibits … including cuisine, art, craft and photography, fashion, carnival displays, music (including steelpan), literature, film, trade and industry and tourism”.

Elsewhere in the spring/summer season is the return of The Duke's Comedy Club (6-7 April), Francesca Martinez’s What the **** is Normal?! (6-9 June), the reggae-inspired Lovers Rock Monologues (9-14 July) and Alex Webb’s “swinging musical show” Jazz at Café Society (16-21 July).

Currently at the Tricycle, The Bomb (Parts 1&2) continues until 1 April, after which Indhu Rubasingham takes the reins as artistic director of the Kilburn venue.
