WOS Announces Winners' Cabaret with Jones & Fox

WOS Announces Winners' Cabaret with Jones & Fox

Date: 11 October 2011

In the run up to the 2012 Whatsonstage.com Awards, the Theatre Club is excited to offer another new benefit to members - access to a series of exclusive Winners' Cabarets.

First in the series is Award winner Leanne Jones on 9 November 2011, followed on 23 November by Hannah-Jane Fox. These evenings are a chance to enjoy performances by these celebrated singers in the intimate surrounds of the piano bar at the Charing Cross theatre while enjoying a drink and meeting other members.

The Whatsonstage.com Awards, “the theatregoers' choice”, are voted for by the public and represent audience favourites from the year, with over 46,000 people voting last year. Both Jones and Fox have won the Best Actress in a Musical award, Jones in 2008 for her West End debut as Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray and Fox for Scaramouche in West End hit musical We Will Rock You (a role she originated) in 2003.

Leanne Jones has since gone on to star in her own one woman show Have You Met Miss Jones? as well as a straight acting performance in The Naked Truth. She can currently be found back on the London stage in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, the musical based on the popular Peanuts Comic Strip.

Hannah-Jane Fox has, following her win, gone on to star in productions of Taboo – The Boy George Musical, Rent and Dick Whittington.

This series is part of Whatsonstage.com Theatre Club’s ever-expanding range of benefits for members. Our current media partnership with the Arts Theatre gives members exclusive access to first nights, regular complimentary and discounted tickets for Arts productions and special events, drinks discounts and a free programme voucher.

Another media partnership, this one with Critics at the Cri, a new initiative as part of the Criterion Presents season, gives members access to complimentary tickets and discounted rates for this new monthly “review show” where critics and theatre commentators discuss some of the latest openings and field theatregoer questions.

Not a member yet? Join here. Other benefits of the Club, which currently costs just £30 per annum, include advance discounted booking on Whatsonstage.com Outings and Awards, Group Club Night discounts, a joining gift ticket to Thriller Live and a subscription to our bi-monthly Whatsonstage.com print magazine.

Members should be sure to login and follow this link to book their tickets for our Winner’s Cabaret series. Leanne Jones is scheduled for 9 November and Hannah-Jane fox for 23 November.
