Hair Cast & Clare Burt Visit Delfont Room in July

Date: 29 June 2010

Londoners will have a chance to see the Tony Award-winning, all-American cast of Hair in a different guise at 8pm on Sunday 11 July 2010, when they decamp to the West End’s Prince of Wales theatre for a one-off evening of cabaret as part of the LIVE IN THE DELFONT ROOM series, sponsored by Whatsonstage.com.

Organised by cast members Gavin Creel and Michael James Scott, who say they want to “something creative with their incredible Tribe mates of Hair” while here in London, the evening is billed a “musical journey of pop, rock, folk, musical theatre and gospel music”. It’s held in aid of Aids relief charity TheatreMAD.

Also newly added to the LIVE IN THE DELFONT ROOM summer schedule is Clare Burt in the usual late-night slot (doors open at 10.30pm, show starts at 11pm) on Saturday 17 July 2010. Burt’s many musical credits include Sunday in the Park With George, Company, Into the Woods, Nine, The Hired Man and Pal Joey.

Further ahead, autumn offerings in the Delfont Room are expected to include evenings with Alison Jiear and Julian Ovenden and, separate to the in-house series but also in partnership with Whatsonstage.com, a return for Jest End.

TO BOOK TICKETS, CALL 0844 482 5111 or VISIT THE PRINCE OF WALES WEBSITE.

As part of the Whatsonstage.com media partnership, members of the Whatsonstage.com Theatre Club can take advantage of a special value-added package for all concerts: a signed poster of the evening’s star plus two free drinks to enjoy before or during the performance!!
