French Theatre Season Opens at National as Eyre's Reign EndsDate: 30 October 1997The French Theatre Season opens tonight with the Comedie Francaise's production of Les Fausses Confidences at the National Theatre. This marks the first time that the Comedie Francaise, the oldest national theatre company in the world, has performed in London in nearly 25 years. The Season, which runs until Christmas, will also include engagements at the Royal Court (hosting the acclaimed Theatre de Complicite), Sadler's Wells, the RSC's Other Place in Stratford and the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond, Surrey.
