Evelyn Glennie OBE, famous international percussionist, has become Vice-President of the English Sinfonia orchestra. Glennie has already completed two concert tours with the orchestra and another is planned for September next year. The English Sinfonia has recently become the resident orchestra of Stevenage.
The Orchestra of St John s, Smith Square launches its 30th anniversary season this month with a series of concerts by violinist Tasmin Little. In the opening concert on 11 September, Little performs Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto.
