The Core is Coming!

The Core is Coming!

Date: 8 September 2010

The Core at Corby Cube, a brand new arts venue and part of the iconic new building in the centre of the town, is delighted to announce that it kicks off its sensational first season with a fun-filled Christmas show for all ages.

Proud to be a brand new centre for live entertainment serving Corby and the surrounding areas, the Core will welcome top class comedy, drama, dance and music, plus a host of exceptional family and children’s shows. Along with these live performances, there will be lots of creative activities to get involved with too, with workshops for individuals, schools and community groups, residencies, artist development opportunities and exciting ways to interact online via the venue’s website.

A free Open Weekend in November will give everyone a taste of what’s happening at the Core (keep an eye on local press for details), followed by a witty and wickedly entertaining re-telling of the magical story, Hansel and Gretel. From Friday 3 to Sunday 26 December, audiences will be bowled over by this fastpaced fairytale, directed by Gary Sefton (Royal Shakespeare Company). The cast of hilarious characters includes a gang of Glaswegian bats, a corkscrew that sings, a Humbug in love, and a sassy young girl who might just save the day! Tickets are priced from just £7 to £13, and are available now.

Tickets for Hansel and Gretel are available from the Core’s Ticket Line: 01536 470470. A brand new website dedicated to the Core at Corby Cube launches in November 2010, but in the meantime, tickets can be booked online at www.royalandderngate.co.uk.
