1) Don Juan in Soho
Wyndham's Theatre
David Tennant returns to the West End in Patrick Marber's black comedy, first seen at the Donmar a decade ago.
It was announced this week that Gawn Grainger, recently seen in The Entertainer for the Kenneth Branagh Company, and Adrian Scarborough will also star in this razor sharp updating of the Moliere classic Don Juan.
Performances begin in March 2017 but this is already a very hot ticket.
2) Dreamgirls
Savoy Theatre
Now in previews, this long-awaited London production of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical is one of the most highly anticipated openings of the winter season.
Glee star Amber Riley makes her West End debut in the pivotal role of Effie (played by Jennifer Hudson in the movie version, which also starred Beyonce), the staging is by Casey Nicholaw of Aladdin and The Book Of Mormon fame, and the stunning score includes the modern classics "(And I Am Telling You) I'm Not Going" and "One Night Only".
Early booking is essential for this one.

3) The Wind In The Willows
London Palladium
Currently enjoying a huge West End success with Half a Sixpence, George Stiles and Anthony Drewe's new musical adaptation of this much loved children's book has been announced for a West End season at the hallowed 'Home of Family Entertainment'. The lavish show has already enchanted audiences up and down the country on tour.
Popular actor and comedian Rufus Hound will repeat his role of Toad at the London Palladium.
A perfect family treat for summer 2017.
4) School Of Rock
New London Theatre
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Julian Fellowes' joyous stage adaptation of the beloved movie opened this week to rave reviews, and the tickets are selling like crazy.
Already a gigantic smash hit in New York, UK critics and audiences alike have fallen under the spell of the mega-talented kids who play their own instruments, and dynamic David Fynn in the Jack Black role of the impostor teacher who teaches the kids how to rock!
5) Cinderella
London Palladium
Lavish pantomime returns home to the London Palladium for the first time in almost 30 years.
An incredible all-star cast has been assembled: Paul O'Grady will play the Wicked Stepmother, Julian Clary is Dandini, Amanda Holden plays the Fairy Godmother, with Lee Mead as Prince Charming, Nigel Havers as Lord Chamberlain, Paul Zerdin as Buttons and Count Arthur Strong as Baron Hardup. Playing the title role will be rising star Natasha J Barnes who gained enormous popular and critical acclaim as the alternate Funny Girl in the West End this year.
