Louis Walsh to make stage debut in Nativity

”The X Factor” judge will make a guest role in the show’s run in London

Louis Walsh is to star in the upcoming production of Nativity the Musical.

The X Factor judge will make a guest appearance in the London dates of the show's run as Hollywood Producer, between 13 and 17 December.

Walsh said: "I am a great fan of the films and I can’t wait to get started as the Hollywood Producer to see if the class of St Bernadette’s, really have the X Factor".

Walsh joins the already announced cast which includes Simon Lipkin who will play Mr Poppy, Sarah Earnshaw as Jennifer Lore, Andy Brady as Mr Shakespeare, Jemma Churchill as Mrs Bevan, Jamie Chapman as Patrick Burns, and Daniel Boys who will play Paul Maddens. They are joined by Derek Aidoo, Jalisa Andrews, Andy Barke, Gary Davis, Jennifer Louise Jones, Katia Sartini and a cast of 27 children.

The show is a stage adaptation of the hit film franchise from Debbie Isitt, which originally starred Martin Freeman. Isitt has written and is directing the show, which begins its UK tour in Birmimgham.

Nativity the Musical opens at Birmingham REP from 20 October to 12 November and then tours the UK until 6 January.
