The Donmar Warehouse has announced three new productions at the venue from December through to May.

Kicking off the new season will be the UK premiere of Amy Herzog's Belleville. Michael Longhurst will make his Donmar directing debut with a cast including James Norton and Imogen Poots as New York newlyweds living the high life in Paris. They are joined by Faith Alabi and Malachi Kirby in the production which runs from 7 December to 3 February.

The next play in the winter season will see the return of Donmar associate Robert Hastie following his hit productions of My Night with Reg and Splendour. He directs a revival of Peter Gill‘s The York Realist to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality. Starring Ben Batt and Lesley Nicol, the co-production with Sheffield Theatres will run from 8 February to 24 March.

The final new production announced today is William Congreve’s Restoration comedy The Way of the World (29 March to 26 May). After his production of Roots at the Donmar in 2013, James Macdonald reunites with Linda Bassett who will play Lady Wishfort.

On the new season artistic director Rourke said: "With this season the Donmar aims to bring audiences world-class artists and essential stories for our times told within the intimate setting of our Covent Garden home."
