Di and Viv and Rose is closing nearly two months early at the Vaudeville Theatre, it has been announced.

The comedy, which transferred to the West End after premiering at Hampstead Theatre, had been due to run until 23 May 2015, but will now finish on 14 March.

Amelia Bullmore's play stars Tamzin Outhwaite, Samantha Spiro and Jenna Russell as three university friends.

The play started life in the Hampstead Downstairs in 2012, before moving to the larger Upstairs in January 2013, starring Outhwaite alongside Gina McKee and Anna Maxwell Martin.

The show's producers said: "Despite great acclaim from critics and a hugely positive reaction from audiences, the West End can be an unpredictable place and transferring a new play has its risks.

"We'd like to thank our hugely talented cast and creative team for all of their hard work as well as the audiences who have supported the production from the start."

The next confirmed shows at the Vaudeville are Just Jim Dale (26 May to 20 June) and The Importance Of Being Earnest (24 July to 7 November) starring David Suchet.
