The cast will feature Alex Young (Showboat), Daisy Maywood (A Chorus Line), Paul Robinson (Singin' in the Rain) and Gabriel Vick (Sunny Afternoon).

They are joined by Craig Armstrong (Billy Elliot), Martin Dickinson (We Will Rock You), John Guerrasio (Anything Goes), Natalie Moore-Williams (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Lee Ormsby (The Lion King), Emily Squibb (Made in Dagenham), Ralph Bogard (Ushers the Front of House Musical) and Charlie Johnson (Spend Spend Spend).

The 1969 musical, which returns to London for the first time in almost 20 years, is based on the 1960 Oscar-winning film The Apartment.

The story follows a junior executive looking to climb the corporate ladder by lending his apartment to his bosses to use for extramarital affairs.

The show features music by Bacharach, lyrics by Hal David and a book by Neil Simon.

Bacharach songs which feature in the musical include "I'll Never Fall in Love Again", "Knowing When To Leave" and "I Say a Little Prayer".

Promises, Promises runs at Southwark Playhouse from 17 January to 18 February, with previews from 13 January.
