Hollywood star Bradley Cooper has revealed that the production of The Elephant Man that he is currently starring in on Broadway will head to the West End later this year.

The show, which is directed by Scott Ellis, will run at Theatre Royal, Haymarket from 18 May to 9 August 2015, Cooper told US radio host Howard Stern.

Cooper is playing John Merrick in the production, which is inspired by the true story of Joseph Merrick and his relationship with surgeon Frederick Treves. It is running at the Booth Theatre in New York until 22 February, and recently recouped its $3.1 million capitalisation costs.

Cooper also told talk show host Jimmy Fallon that the whole company, including Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola, will come over for the London run.
