Hide your pet rabbits! Trevor Nunn is directing the world stage premiere of Fatal Attraction at the West End's Theatre Royal Haymarket next year.

The production, which opens on 25 March 2014 (previews from 8 March), is adapted by James Dearden, the writer of the 1987 film which starred Glenn Close and Michael Douglas.

Fatal Attraction is booking for a 15-week limited run to 21 June 2014, with tickets on sale from today.

The story centres on successful New York lawyer Dan Gallagher (played by Douglas on screen), a successful New York lawyer whose fling with Alex Forrest (Close) turns into a living nightmare when she ruthlessly pursues him.

As well as achieving huge box office success, the film gave rise to the cultural phenomenon of the 'bunny boiler'.

Casting for the stage production will be announced shortly.

Fatal Attraction is produced by Theatre Royal Haymarket Productions, Robert Fox and Patrick Ryecart.
