Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan's production of 1984 will transfer for a limited 12 week run to the West End's Playhouse Theatre next month following a successful UK tour and stint at the Almeida Theatre.

Running from 8 May to 19 July 2014 (previews from 28 April), 1984 is a co-production between Headlong, the Almeida Theatre and the Nottingham Playhouse based on George Orwell's dystopian novel, which finishes its current run at the Almeida on 29 March.

The cast comprises Mark Arends, Tim Dutton, Stephen Fewell, Christopher Patrick Nolan, Matthew Spencer, Gavin Spokes, Mandi Symonds and Hara Yannas.

Tickets for the West End transfer go on sale today, with 101 tickets available for every performance at £19.84.

Monty Python musical Spamalot, which is currently at the Playhouse Theatre, will have its final performance on 12 April 2014. The current cast includes Joe Pasquale, Bonnie Langford and Daniel Boys.
