WOS TV: Up Close With … The Hurly Burly Show‘s Miss Polly Rae

The Hurly Burly Show, an “all singing, all dancing burlesque inspired revue” opened at the Garrick Theatre on 11 March (previews from 3 March) for a limited run until 1 May 2011.

Starring lead artiste Miss Polly Rae and helmed by Rent Remixed and Kylie Minogue’s Showgirl Tour director William Baker the “contemporary burlesque revue” also features Rae’s six Hurly Burly Girlys.

Including pop songs such as Michael Jackson’s “Bad” and “It’s A Sin” by the Pet Shop Boys, fused with big band The Hurly Burly Show started its life at the Soho Revue Bar five years ago. Under the current creative team has been developed into the show being performed at the Garrick, and has also enjoyed an outing at the Leicester Square Theatre

The Hurly Burly Show has choreography by Ashley Wallen, who is also currently working as choreographer on Ghost the Musical. It is produced in the West End by AEG Live and Steve Dixon.
