Barbra and Frank - The Concert that Never Was, a tribute to the music of Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra featuring renowned impersonators Sharon Owens and Sebastian Anzaldo, will play a limited season at the New Players Theatre from 22 November to 18 December 2010.

The show brings together the “powerhouse voices of two 20th-century musical icons” and imagines what might have happened if Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra had ever shared the same stage. Highlights of the fictitious concert include duets of "Somewhere", "Something Stupid" and "New York, New York" as well as many other signature tunes from both Sinatra and Streisand.

Originally self-produced by its stars, The Concert that Never Was has previously run in Las Vegas and toured the US and internationally.

Sharon Owens has been impersonating Barbra Streisand for almost 20 years and was recently seen on Fox's television show Performing As... Sebastian Anzaldo toured America with various bands, including his show band Wild Life, before becoming a leading Sinatra tribute act.

In real life, “Old Blue Eyes” Frank Sinatra died in 1998, while Streisand returned to perform in London for the first time in 13 years in 2007, selling to 15,000-strong capacity audiences at The O2 as part of her first-ever European concert tour.
