Rupert Goold Finds Space for 9/11 Anniversary???

Rupert Goold’s Headlong Theatre is taking a leaf out Punchdrunk’s book and going site-specific. Goold is scouring London now for an “exciting” found space for a new play examining how the world has changed since 9/11. This September will mark ten years since the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon – appropriate then that the new piece, which will premiere around the time of the anniversary, is entitled Decade. Exact dates and other details – not least the name of the author (or authors?) – have not yet been announced. Expect an announcement in a month or so once the sought-after found space has actually been found. According to the Times, a variety of disused swimming pools, cinemas, wharves and – worryingly close to the bone? – tower blocks are amongst the venues being considered.
