Royal Mail Stamps Out Musicals Celebration???

The Royal Mail have celebrated over seven decades of British musical theatre with a set of eight new commemorative stamps. It’s an eclectic mix, which the Royal Mail hopes reflects the “diversity of British musicals”. The shows pictured – using a mixture of production images and show posters – include Oliver!, Blood Brothers, We Will Rock You, Spamalot, Me and My Girl, Return to the Forbidden Planet and Billy Elliot. The UK’s musical theatre canon was whittled down to the eight selected using criteria including each show’s “origins, longevity and success”.
