Returning for a fourth London run Naked Boys Singing, the musical comedy revue “celebrating the splendours of male nudity”, commences an open-ended season of late-night weekend performances, running Friday and Saturdays at 10pm from 18 March 2011 at the recently renamed Charing Cross Theatre (formerly the New Players).

A long-running New York hit, Naked Boys Singing was first seen in London at Madame JoJo’s in Soho in 2001. This production, which started at the King’s Head in May 2009, was specifically reshaped for London audiences by director Phil Willmott. Following the King’s Head, it had two seasons at the Arts Theatre.

In the 70-minute comedy cabaret, the glories of the male body are celebrated in 17 songs written by 13 writers and performed by eight good-looking actors – in the nude. The “naked boys” for the new Charing Cross dates are Matt Beadle, Davis Brook, Callum Francis, Rudi Last, Drew Mason, Daniel Slade, Will Stokes and, returning to the production, Nathan Taylor. Choreography is by Andrew Wright.

Not surprisingly, Naked Boys Singing contains full-frontal male nudity and carries a recommended age of 16+.
