Love Never Dies But Broadway Transfers Do???

More speculation about whether Love Never Dies, the controversial follow-up to The Phantom of the Opera, will ever make its intended Broadway transfer. Originally scheduled to debut in New York debut in November of this year, the transfer was postponed until April 2011, owing to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s recent poor health. Now there’s fresh conjecture that it might be cancelled altogether. Jack O’Brien and Jerry Mitchell are both reported to be off the production, now focusing instead on the screen-to-stage musical adaptation of Catch Me If You Can. New York publicist and show spokesman Adrian Bryan-Brown has attempted to quash cancellation rumours. Speaking to the New York Times, he said that the show is “just waiting for a date”.
