Edinburgh Hits Pajama Men & Sea Wall Transfer

Jim jams at the ready. Edinburgh may feel like a distant dream
but the London transfers just keep on coming, with The Pajama Men and Simon Stephens’ Sea Wall the latest shows
to announce a post-Fringe run in the capital.

Acclaimed US comedy duo The Pajama Men have secured the coveted
Christmas spot at the Soho Theatre for a month-long run of their latest show, The Last
Stand to Reason
(7 December 2009 – 9 January 2010).

Known for their blend of physical and verbal comedy and
their ability to weave together multiple story-lines at breakneck speed, Shenoah Allen and Mark Chavez proved a hit at the Assembly Rooms this summer.

This Soho run will round off what has been a
hugely successful year for the pair, whose last show Versus Vs Versus won the highly-regarded Barry Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in April.

Also making the trip down from Scotland this autumn will be Simon Stephens’ Sea Wall, a blistering one-man piece from the writer of the Lyric Hammersmith’s critically-acclaimed current production Punk Rock.

Originally commissioned and performed at the Bush Theatre
before a sell-out run at the Traverse in August, the 30-minute monologue will return for a run at the Bush’s new script reference library, The Bush at the Library, on Uxbridge Road.

Olivier
Award winning actor Andrew Scott will be recreating his solo performance of Stephens’ play from 5-17 October 2009.
