Book of Mormon extends booking to 2014

Broadway import The Book of Mormon – which officially opens at the Prince of Wales Theatre on Thursday (21 March 2013) – has extended booking until 11 January 2014.Tickets for the new booking period go on general sale on Friday, and are currently on presale to American Express customers. The show had originally been booking until the end of August.

The Book of Mormon comes from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Avenue Q
co-creator Robert Lopez. The show, which won nine Tony Awards including
Best Musical, follows a pair of Mormon boys sent on a mission to a
place that’s a long way from Salt Lake City.Directed by Casey Nicholaw and Trey Parker, The Book of Mormon stars Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner (pictured) as Elder Price and
Elder Cunningham, alongside Alexia Khadime, Giles Terera, Chris Jarman and Stephen Ashfield.Following the success of the model on Broadway, the show is releasing daily lottery tickets, which must be applied for in person at the box office two and a half hours prior to every performance.Preview tickets have been selling out and guests so far spotted in the stalls include the Prime Minister, who attended on Friday (15 March). Last Wednesday The Book of Mormon hosted a special Red Nose Day gala, attended by comedians including Jack Dee, James Corden, Michael McIntyre, Tim Minchin, Simon Pegg and Rob Brydon (see photos here).
