Photos: Comedians help Mormons raise 200k for Comic Relief

Funnymen including Jack Dee, James Corden, Michael McIntyre, Tim Minchin, Simon Pegg and Rob Brydon were among the guests at last night’s special Red Nose Day gala performance of The Book of Mormon.

Also in attendance were Comic Relief host Lenny Henry, who introduced
the gala, alongside Simon Cowell, Kate Moss, Sadie Frost and Tim Burton and Helena
Bonham Carter.

Through this and other fundraising efforts The Book of Mormon aims to raise £200,000 for Comic Relief, which is now in its 25th year and culminates with tomorrow’s Red Nose Day Appeal Night (Friday 15 March).

The Book of Mormon, created by South Park‘s Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez, has been in previews at the Prince of Wales Theatre since 25 February and opens officially next Thursday (21 March 2013).
