We chat with Motown founder Berry Gordy, singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson and more at the opening night of Motown the Musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London.

The show, based on Gordy's career and the founding of his label Motown records which signed artists including Diana Ross and the Supremes, Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson, is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright and features Lucy St. Louis as Diana Ross and Cedric Neal as Berry Gordy.

You can read Michael Coveney's review for WhatsOnStage here.

Motown The Musical runs at the Shaftesbury Theatre until 18 February 2017.
