Avant Garde Dance is a London based company who are at the forefront of innovative hip-hop/contemporary dance theatre, led by Artistic Director and Work Place artist Tony Adigun.
The Black Album is a triple bill of music inspired dance work choreographed by Tony Adigun and presented as your favourite concept album. Columns of light fuse together with movement in Another New Day as five dancers respond to a confined space with the improvised feeling of free jazz and music from experimental DJs Jazzanova. A Classical Break creates a binding and cheeky partnership between break dance and the music of Beethoven, Mozart and Prokofiev. Making its London premiere, Dark Matter features movement which literally leaves it mark on everything it touches. With a penetrating electronic score and digital stage installation, this ensemble piece plays with the sound of space itself.
